Useful racing at London Met
Nearly 30 UCD athletes competed at London Met, testing various combinations and getting good racing over the weekend.
Novice and Intermediate Eights win at Dublin Met
Crews battled through wind and rain in Blessington for Dublin Metropolitan Regatta, with UCD taking home wins for Senior 4+, Intermediate 8+ and Novice 8+.
Paul O’Donovan and Martin Feeley honoured at 2017 UCD Sports Awards
Paul won the ‘Dr. Tony O’Neill Sportsperson of the Year’ award while Martin was presented with the inaugural Bank of Ireland ‘Graduate of the Year’ award.
Senior 8 wins at Trinity Regatta
Although some events were curtailed by a lack of entries the centrepiece was again UCD vs Trinity in the Mens Senior 8+, with College prevailing by 2 1/4 lengths.
UCD Eights Shine at Skibb
UCD’s Senior and Intermediate Eights followed up their Wylie Cup success by taking home the titles on offer at Skibbereen Regatta over the weekend.

UCD take 3 from 4 at Colours 2017
UCD repeated 2016’s results by taking the Gannon Cup, Corcoran Cup and Sally Moorhead Trophy at the Dublin University Boat Races (Colours) 2017.
Five UCD Eights race at Erne Head of the River
The Intermediate and Club 1 crews were fastest in their categories but the Senior boat collided with a safety launch.
UCD top the lightweight categories at IIRC 2017
Paul O’Donovan set a new Irish Lightweight record while Shane O’Connell also impressed to win the U23 Lightweight category.
