The Erne Eights Head of the River 2026 is taking place this Saturday, 7th of March with the Men’s Race starting at 2pm.
UCD were knocked out of the 2016 Temple Challenge Cup by American crew Drexel University at Henley Royal Regatta.
Wednesday’s choppy water and headwind made for difficult racing conditions with Drexel gaining a slight advantage early on. UCD continued to fight and the crews overlapped for the first half of the race but Drexel were too strong into the headwind, stretching out their lead over the rest of the course to win by 2 1/4 lengths.
