UCD Boat Club members Shane O’Connell, David O’Malley and Shane Mulvaney travelled to the National Rowing Centre for trials on February 28th. David O’Malley and Shane Mulvaney combined to race the LM2- while Shane O’Connell competed in the LM1x.
David and Shane performed very strongly in their field and have been invited to trial this combination for a place in the LM2- event at the U23 World Championships taking place in Rotterdam in August.
Shane also produced a solid performance in the LM1x, placing well within the U23 group and will take part in further trials with an aim to form part of a LM4x or LM2x at the U23 World Championships.
