With the Gannon Cup 8+ concentrating on their Colours preparation, UCD’s Intermediate 8+ lead our representation at Erne of the River on 5th March.
They finished 5th in the Senior 8+ event, 7 seconds off 3rd with a wider gap to the more experienced crews from Trinity and Commercial in 1st and 2nd.
Two UCD Novice 8s also raced in what was their first competitive outing, with UCD A finishing 3rd behind Trinity and Queens. Both crews gained valuable experience ahead of their Dan Quinn Shield and Goonan Cup races.
