4th places finishes for both Claire Lambe and Paul O’Donovan at Poznan World Cup

UCD alumni Claire Lambe and Sinead Lynch continued their recent improvement in a record breaking LW2x race while UCD Ad Astra student Paul O’Donovan and his brother Gary again showed their speed in the LM2x.

The Netherlands won the LW2x in a new World Best Time of 6:47.69 with Ireland taking 4th behind Denmark and New Zealand with France, Norway and Italy taking the podium places ahead of Irelandi in the LM2x.

Lynch and Lambe Edged Out of Medals in Record-Breaking Race

Rowing: Claire Lambe and Sinead Lynch had to settle for fourth in a terrific lightweight double sculls World Cup Final in Poznan. The Netherlands had an excellent start, but Denmark set the pace through the middle stages, with Ireland and world champions New Zealand well in touch.

Fourth Place for O’Donovans at World Cup in Poznan

Rowing: Ireland finished fourth in the A Final of the lightweight double sculls at the World Cup in Poznan in Poland this morning. Ireland were given a yellow card for a false start, but it was a marginal thing.
