O’Donovan brothers are European Champions

UCD Ad Astra student Paul O’Donovan and his brother Gary took gold in the LM2x at the 2016 European Rowing Championships in Brandenburg, Germany.

The brothers raced exceptionally well in tough conditions and displayed their trademark strong finishing to overtake former World Champions Norway in the second 1000m. A huge congratulations to Gary, Paul, coach Dominic Casey and the Rowing Ireland team on this achievement.

At the same regatta, UCD alumni Claire Lambe finished 9th overall in LW2x and Old Collegian Sanita Puspure claimed a bronze medal in W1x.
