Congratulations to Dave Neale who won the Intermediate sculling pot at this year’s national championships at the National Rowing Centre, Farran Woods, Cork. Dave went on to partner Gearoid Duane in the double scull to take the Intermediate 2x pot. Elsewhere, UCD enjoyed a strong showing in the Intermediate 8+ and the Novice 8+, but […]
The UCDBC senior 8+ was fastest over the reduced course at this year’s Dublin head of the river race. Departing from the Ha’ penny bridge on a glourious Saturday morning, UCD covered the course in 10 minutes 29 seconds. The UCD intermediate crew covered the course in 11 minutes finishing 2nd in the category. The […]
UCD redeemed what was shaping up to be a dismal weekend of sport. The weekend started on a high note as UCD novice 2nd VIII overcame a crab off the start, a dodgy seat, which rendered the bowman useless for 200m and of course the opposing Trinity crew to start the weekend off with a […]
Congratulations to the Intermediate 8+ and 4+ who won their section at the Cork Head. UCD enjoyed further successes at Novice level with the 8+ coming 1st and 2nd and Oisin Treacy winning the novice sculling category by a healthy margin. UCD entries posted the 2nd (Inter 8+), 4th (Novice 8+), 5th (Inter 8+) and […]
Congratulations to Turlough Hughes and Cóilín Bairéad who won the Intermediate 2x section at the St. Michael’s Head of the River. It completed a good day where all UCDBC crews performed well. This was also the novice boat’s first outing where great times were posted by both novice crews.
The date for the annual colours boat races between rivals University College Dublin Boat Club and Dublin Univeristy Boat Club has been set for the 19th of March. The gannon cup race between UCD and DUBC senior 8 will take place at 10am from O’Connell’s bridge to St. James’ Gate. The novice race will […]

The flood of messages from past crew mates supporting Tomás say everything about his character and the impact he has had on those around him, any contribution would be greatly appreciated via his family’s GoFundMe
