About

UCD Boat club can trace its roots back to 1917. The club is based in the boathouse at Islandbridge, Dublin 8, shared with UCD Ladies Boat Club and  Old Collegians Boat Club. Training also takes place in Blessington and in the UCD Sports Centre. We are always welcoming new members.

The club is currently on a magnificent run of form thanks to the dedication of its members, coaches & committee. The club has been producing Irish international oarsmen since 1948 and it is one of the aims of the club to continue this trend and provide the support and coaching necessary to achieve this goal.

The club’s Junior and Senior committees, with help from UCD Sport, ensure that the club’s day-to-day operations run smoothly, and that the club is adequately financed every year, allowing club members to compete at the highest level without distraction.
