Despite the approach of exams the club managed to send a strong contingent to the NRC in Cork to race the Sunday session at Skibbereen Regatta.
The first race of the day for UCD was the Divison 2 4+ heat, with the Club 2 crew securing a place in the A final where they finished 2nd in tight race with UCC.
The success of the day came in the Division 1 4-, with three Senior UCD crews competing. They finished 1st, 3rd and 4th in the straight final with Cork in 2nd.
Both UCD crews performed well in the Division 1 8+ time trial, with the Senior and Intermediate crews achieving places in the A and B final respectively. In the final, the Senior found themselves in an early battle, with both the Cork and Commercial boats surging to a length lead in the first 1000m. A strong drive for the line race saw UCD move into second place, finishing half a length down the Commercial boat.
