The club is mourning the passing of past Captain Gerry Buckley who died on Saturday morning, 8th July.
Gerry was Captain of UCD Boat Club in 1959-60 and rowed 2 in the crew that won the 1960 Mens Senior 8+.
He studied at the Veterinary College in UCD and went on to become Chief Veterinary Officer of County Cork. He lived at Waterfall, outside Cork.
Reception prayers on Monday evening at 7.00pm in St. James’ Church, Ballinora. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St. James Cemetery, Chetwynd.
