UCD’s Henley campaign ended today when the club’s Senior boat lost to an extremely well drilled Princeton University Lightweight crew. Princeton led from the start and while UCD tried to find their rhythm, Princeton continued to push away from UCD. From their commanding position, Princeton were able to render the UCD pushes ineffective, finishing two and a quarter lengths in front. Obvious disappointment for the UCD crew who had high aspirations but focus now shifts to next week’s National Championships which will be held at the National Rowing Centre on Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July. The club would like to thank all those who supported both UCD crews in the regatta and hope they extend their support to the remaining Irish crews.
Irish interest: Prince of Wales: Old Collegians/London vs. Leander Club, Visitors: NUIG vs. Isis BC, Britannia: Fermoy RC vs Agecroft RC.
