The squad are back from their week’s training camp in Hazewinkel in Belgium. The camp was a great success and will lay the basis for the the next series of important races; Galway Head, the Gannon Cup and London Head.
With Ryanair providing better prices and service than Iarnrod Eireann, Haz is likely to become the getaway of choice in seasons to come . . . not quite warm-weather training, but an ideal place for the coaches to drill technique due to calm water regardless of the weather.
16kms of hard rowing in the AM followed by another 16kms in the PM was pretty much the agenda for the week.
